In 2005 Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott met on the Ottawa set of the TV movie Mind Over Murder. At the time they were both married to other people. Spelling was married to actor-writer Charlie Shanian and McDermott was married to a Canadian TV personality Mary Jo Eustace. Divorces soon followed, and the following May the new couple married in Fiji.
In March 2007, the former Beverly Hills 90210 star gave birth to a son, Liam. This isn’t the first child for McDermott. He has a nine year old son, Jack, with his former wife. He also adopted a daughter right before meeting Spelling, but he is no longer the girl’s legally adopted father.
The couple is now expecting a baby girl. They were in shock when the doctor announced it was girl. In an interview with Star Magazine, Spelling stated "I've always wanted a little girl since I'm such a girly girl, and Dean always wanted a little girl as well. I immediately started crying. I couldn't believe it. I have my beautiful little boy and now I'll have my little girl. It's amazing."
