It’s double the baby joy for Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony. On February 22, the proud new parents of twins welcomed their son and daughter. They are named Max and Emme. Emme was born at 12:12 a.m. and weighed 5 pounds 7 ounces, and Max followed at 12:23 a.m., weighing six pounds. The twins are the first children for Lopez, 38, and the fourth and fifth for Anthony, 39.
During the early weeks of Jennifer’s pregnancy, she skillfully avoided the question (The David Letterman Show). At some point in her final Miami concert she announced her pregnancy on November 8th. She felt like everybody knew anyway because she was on tour with a bubble gut. Now that the secret is out, the delighted and thrilled singer intends to take time off.
The beaming couple, Jennifer and Marc, celebrated the looming births with a baby shower in New York on Jan. 19, where they had received pillows and baby carriers with their names embroidered on them.
Leah Remini, a longtime friend of Jennifer, refers to Jennifer as very nurturing and a “born mom.” Remini stated, “With our daughter, she’s so great. I mean, she lets her go in her closet and play with her coats or her jewelry. She’s just so giving and loving.”
