
“Definitely, Maybe” is the best romantic comedy to come out on Valentine’s Day 2008. Its appealing cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Isla Fisher, Derek Luke, Abigail Breslin, Elizabeth Banks, and Rachel Weisz. “Definitely, Maybe” is a romantic movie with some amusing scenes.
Ryan Reynolds plays Will, a New York advertising executive. He has a best friend who he can confide in (Derek Luke), and a ten year old daughter Maya (Abigail Breslin). Maya is a child whose parents just divorced and encourages her dad to date a woman who dumped him in the past. Maya, at elementary school, had a sex talk in class. This leads to a bedtime story about her dad’s love life over the past fifteen years. The story consists of being dumped repeatedly by the same three women (Elizabeth Banks, Rachel Weisz, and Isla Fisher). While listening to the story, Maya doesn’t know that one of the women is her mother and also her father’s soul mate (whom he pursues with Maya’s blessing).
